Job opening for a full time emergency veterinarian
North Peninsula Veterinary Emergency Clinic has an opening for an Associate Veterinarian.
NPVEC has been a part of the San Francisco Peninsula’s community for over 40 years. We are a non-corporate, community-focused 24 hour emergency and critical care hospital that puts patients and clients first. We focus on top quality medicine and client service, and we work closely with referring veterinarians to provide the best for our mutual patients.
Our doctors enjoy the opportunity to practice cutting edge medicine in a recently renovated facility with an incredible team of technicians and support staff. Our in-house laboratory allows us to run CBCs, chemistry panels, coagulation panels, urinalyses, crossmatches, feline blood typing, lactates and much more on an emergent basis. We are well equipped with all of the facilities and equipment necessary to practice as a high acuity emergency and critical care facility. These include digital radiography, ultrasound, an up-to-date surgical suite, an isolation ward, ample monitoring equipment, and much more. Our hospital stocks canine and feline blood products, antivenin, and all of the medications appropriate for an emergency and critical care facility.
NPVEC doctors get to work with outstanding technicians who are passionate about their patients, and who have the experience and skills to allow the doctors to focus on medicine. Our wonderful clients and varied and exciting case load allow doctors to challenge themselves as they work up and treat cases.
We collaborate with boarded specialists in radiology, internal medicine/endoscopy, surgery, neurology, and cardiology. We have access to STAT telemedicine consultations in radiology and cardiology.
Our doctors enjoy excellent lifestyles with plenty of time off to enjoy all of the activities and opportunities that Northern California has to offer. The long tenure of our doctors speaks to our dedication to our doctors’ quality of life. We offer excellent compensation and comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, an employer-matched retirement plan, and a generous allowance for CE and membership dues.
The successful applicant will have a passion for animals and the people who love them. We believe in treating our marvelous clients well, and we are looking for a veterinarian who will treat our clients and referring veterinarians as well as he or she treats our patients.
