Erin Ovtcharov started working at NPVEC in 2007 while enrolled in the Registered Veterinary Technician training program at Foothill College. She has been interested in veterinary medicine since she was a little girl. She ensures that the DVM team is well supported in managing the cases presented to our hospital. Erin is passionate about working in the ER environment, with special emphasis on caring for critical patients from start to finish and sending them home post-treatment to thankful owners. Erin is also our inventory manager, an integral role to keep us well stocked and able to respond to all animal emergencies that present to our hospital. Interestingly, Erin earned a BA in theater from California State University, Hayward, in 2006. However, her love of animals guided her to a career in veterinary medicine. She lives with her husband and children—two human and two pit bull mixes (rescued from the field)—and enjoys time away with her family enjoying nature.
